This coat is made of 100% genuine waxed canvas OILSKIN. It is waterproof and over time will need re-waxing to continue to be waterproof. It has soft teddy fleece lining.

This coat has a button hole for a harness D ring to go through.

Our Coats are the perfect winter coat for your dachshund or small breed dog, we’ve even sold them for cats! Our coats are made with a more shallow depth for our short legged friends in mind, so their legs do not get caught up in the coat. Option of adding a Snood for extra warmth, this is a separate purchase. Our coats are the softest, most snuggly coats you’ll find. Our Coats do not cover the underneath of the dog/the chest, as this can lead to overheating.

How to Care for your Oilskin
Allow to dry naturally after use
Store hanging in a dry, well-ventilated area
Keep away from naked flames or artificial heat
Clean at regular intervals
Do not bleach
Do not machine wash
Do not iron or dry-clean
Do not wring, spin or tumble dry
Do not wash exterior with soap or detergents *unless reproofing
Reproofing - we recommend reproofing your oilskin every 3-10 years (depending on wear) to maintain its waterproof qualities. For major dry areas and leaks use oilskin reproofing wax. For minor dry patches or leaks use an oilskin reproofing spray.

How to Clean an Oilskin
Gently remove dirt using a soft brush or rag.
Using cold water dab with a sponge or hose down.
For woollen linings use a small amount of wool wash and water.
For mouldy garments sponge or hand wash with diluted vinegar, after this your garment may need to be reproofed.
Allow garment to dry naturally.
